I found that 4 had less variation in map locations, so travelling around felt longer because it looked quite similar. The greater variation in environment in 5 means you can tell your travelling through different places as you have a visual marker.

Far cry 4 is so much better than 5. Far cry 4 is closer to 3 in terms of pacing and isn’t full of bloat like 5. In far cry 5 there is not a lot of weapons for being in America on top of that the game is so long it definitely overstays it’s welcome. You’ve seen everything the game has to offer within like 3 hours in 5. Far Cry has always been a big world filled with stuff. Hell they even copied the towers from ac in far cry 3 to unlock maps. That's what makes far cry cool, because it's an fps open world. If I want to play a closed world fps I play CoD or Battlefield.

So I am a completionist type of gamer, and i want to clear the entire map. my main method of doing so is just exploring the uncharted areas. however this is time consuming, and I just want to clear the map as fast as i can. those "reigon maps" that you find in outposts are really tiny and they dont really help that much.
